What you will take away

The generator turns your details into the structure proposed by llmstxt.org: the name as a heading, a short summary as a quote, optional notes and sections with links to key pages. It runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing. The llms.txt is a proposal, not an official standard, and no guarantee of mentions in AI answers.

The generator: enter your details, get the file

Enter your name, website and a short description. List key pages line by line in the format Title | URL | Description. The description is optional. Your input stays in your browser.

Create your llms.txt

The file is created in your browser as you type. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

Same format. These pages go into the “Optional” section, which language models may skip when space is short.

Your llms.txt

Enter at least a name, website address and short description. The file will then appear here.

Save the file as llms.txt in the root directory of your domain, then check in your browser that it is reachable.

What is an llms.txt?

The llms.txt is a proposal described at llmstxt.org. The idea: websites provide a compact Markdown overview at /llms.txt that language models can process more easily than complex HTML pages. It starts with the name as a heading, followed by a short summary and sections with links to important content.

It is important to put this in context: the llms.txt is not an official standard, and the major AI providers have not committed to using it. It does no harm and is quick to create, but it does not replace a well-structured website. The guide llms.txt explained goes into more depth.

Which pages belong in it?

Less is more. Include the pages a person would need to understand your offer quickly:

  • Services or products with a short description
  • Prices or plans, if you publish them
  • Frequently asked questions and important guides
  • About us and contact

Pages that can be skipped belong in the “Optional” section, for example older blog posts. Keep descriptions factual. Marketing language helps neither people nor machines. The AI prompt generator shows which questions customers actually ask.

How to upload the file

Save the result as a file named llms.txt and place it in the root directory of your domain so that it is available at https://your-domain.com/llms.txt. With WordPress, you can do this via FTP or your host’s file manager. Some SEO plugins now offer their own features for it.

Then check in your browser that the file is reachable and that special characters display correctly. Keep the file up to date when key pages change. Whether AI assistants mention your business, however, depends mainly on your website and public sources. Frequently asked questions

Do I need an llms.txt?

Not necessarily. It is a voluntary proposal with no guarantee that AI providers use it. Because it is quick to create and does no harm, it can be a sensible addition to a well-structured website.

Is llms.txt the same as robots.txt?

No. The robots.txt controls which areas crawlers may access. The llms.txt is a content overview for language models and neither blocks nor allows anything.

Is my input stored?

No. The generator runs entirely in your browser. The file is created on your device, and nothing is sent to Nalqerio.
